Participation in Interzoo should generate BRL 58.5 million in international business for the Brazilian pet sector

The estimate is from Brazilian companies that participated in the largest fair of the segment in the world, held at the end of May in Germany

São Paulo, July 2022 - Brazilian entrepreneurs who participated in Interzoo 2022 estimate that they will generate at least US$ 11 million (about R$ 58.5 million) in business for the national pet sector in one year. Interzoo is the largest fair of the segment in the world and was held at the end of May in Germany.

The estimate was released by the IPB (Instituto Pet Brasil), an institution that has been encouraging the development of the Brazilian pet sector for nine years. The institute was at the event and provided support to Brazilian companies within the Pet Brasil Sectorial Project, an initiative in partnership with ApexBrasil (Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos).

“Only in the four days of the event, the 15 Brazilian companies closed deals in the amount of US$ 4.3 million, or approximately R$ 22.8 million", says José Edson Galvão de França, IPB's advisory board member, who was present at Interzoo. “These results prove that the institutional efforts of the IPB and ApexBrasil are generating good results in promoting Brazilian products and services abroad and attracting foreign investment to the Brazilian pet sector.”

This was the ninth participation of the Pet Brasil Sectorial Project at Interzoo. The Brazilian delegation at the event was composed of the following companies: Adimax, Alcon, Anilhas Capri, AnimallTag, Durapets, Furacão Pet, Interbrilho, Masterzoo, Nutrire, Nutrivale, Pet Med, Pet Society, PHS, Procão, Special Dog.
