São Paulo, June 2025 - Instituto Pet Brasil (IPB) will hold the International Pet Meeting from July 15-18, a free online event aimed at training Brazilian companies interested in exporting pet products. The initiative is a partnership between the entity and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), and in 2025 reaches its fifth edition.
This is a strategic moment for the sector, which recorded 29% growth in exports in 2024, reaching US$ 580.58 million. With this in mind, IPM 2025 will feature four days of specific programming, each directed at different company profiles and market needs.
"Brazil is the third largest market in the world, and has unique potential in the global pet market, given the strong production of agricultural inputs, and good positioning in the international market. We also believe that this is a propitious moment to create connections and seek international space. And this is not only for large companies. Our mission is to prepare Brazilian companies, of all sizes, offering the regulatory knowledge and necessary strategies for a successful expansion," says Caio Villela, executive president of Instituto Pet Brasil.
The opening, on July 15, will be dedicated to first steps in exportation, focusing on small and medium enterprises that do not yet have experience in the international market. The guest is Danilo Kamimura an auditor for the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA)
Strategic markets | On the second day (July 16th), the programming will be dedicated specifically to the Colombian market, the country that leads the ranking of importers of Brazilian pet products. The choice is not casual: Colombia represents the main destination for Brazilian exports in the sector, followed by Uruguay, United Arab Emirates, Bolivia and Chile. The session will feature the participation of Clóvis Serafini, agricultural attaché of MAPA in Colombia, and Cláudia Horta, a regulation lawyer. The guests will address specific requirements for exporting animal feed, veterinary products and pet accessories, with emphasis on opportunities for companies from the North and Northeast regions.
Digital transformation | The third day (17) will focus on international e-commerce, an increasingly relevant topic for companies seeking to expand their sales digitally. Felipe Hurtado, from Agriglobal Market, a Miami-based company, will present data analysis strategies, management tools and practical success cases in the global pet market.
Female protagonism | The closing, on July 18, will highlight opportunities in the Arab market, especially for women entrepreneurs. The United Arab Emirates, which occupies the third position in the ranking of importers of Brazilian pet products, will be one of the focuses of the programming. The session will include presentation of an exclusive study on the pet market of Saudi Arabia, conducted by Camila Flores, researcher at Unisinos, and Alessandra Frisso, from the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
All training sessions will be recorded for later consultation by participants.
